One of the most important tasks as a parent is to, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."-Proverbs 22:6. My featured website this week helps parents do just that by giving them resources to help their children learn and memorize scripture. Homeschoolcreations.com has TONS of free resources for parents and teachers. Author, Jolanthe has created hundreds of printables for both preschool and elementary students using old testament and new testament scripture verses. Most of the printable verses include a full size verse sheet, a 4 x 6 verse card, a verse sentence strip, and a verse word card. Each verse is also associated with a picture cue to help students memorize it. One of my favorite printables on this website is the ABC Bible Verse Flashcards. Each letter of the alphabet has a short memory verse to go along with it...great for little ones just learning to read and memorize scripture. You can print these and make them into a mini-book for your children or you can print her poster size letters (8 1/2 x 11), laminate, and put them up around your classroom or home. Another great resource is the illustrate a Bible verse page where students can draw their own picture to help them remember the verse they are learning. Under the picture are lines for students to write out the verse. There are also resources to teach your children about the different parts of the Bible (Old and New Testament and the books of the Bible). To find all of these wonderful resources and more click on the following link and scroll down the page until you see the printable verses. http://homeschoolcreations.com/BibleVersePrintables.html
